  What is it about my job this time of year?It seems my boss was trying to kill us today by create chlorine gas of sorts.We had to bleach a roof to kill all the mildew before staining and some how he managed to mix chlorine bleach with oxcilic acid. This was not pleasant to breathe all day.Hopefully this will be the last job we have where toxic chemicals are used.

  I saw my sister this morning.She was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago with an infection.She told me today that there was also a second infection that they found that could have killed her if they hadn’t caught it when they did.Thak GOD for she went to the hospital when she did.

  It’s Saturday and I should have had the day off but went to work instead.That’s fine I can use the extra hours.Everything was going well with cleaning off a roof,until the pressure washer died.We got yelled at for that but it really wasn’t anyones fault,so we just let the boss rant and pretty much just ignored it for the most part.It’s certainly not anything I’m going to loose sleep over.

  After work I went for a walk around town just to get out of the house for awhile.It was then that a some teenager called me sir.Do I really look that old?I always thought I looked young for my age.But oh well what can I do? As I was walking I ran into a friend of mine I haven’t seen in years.He was going to see "Pirates of the Carribean" with his son.We talked for a while and agreed to get together soon to catch up.Well that’s all for now. not a very eventful day but an alright one just the same.

Holy cow!What a dirty nasty day.We are half way through stripping this deck and I had almost forgotten how much I hate this part of my job.After coating the deck with highly caustic lye, you have to scrub the heck out of it.This results in you getting covered in toxic gunk from head to toe.And to make it even more fun, it cause some really "nice" chemical burns.Right now it feels like my face is going to fall right off and I can’t feel my lips.This stuff gets everywhere!

After scrubbing with the lye the next step is to spay it down with acid.I had a tiny cutt on my finger from last night, so of course the acid found it immediatly.Ouch.The nice thing is you only need to spray the acid and leave it,to nuetralize the lye,so there is no scrubbing to do.

I am happy that there is only one more day of this before we can start applying the stain.There are greener pastures to come:)

Well it’s Monday and it is the last day of my unwanted vacation.I am back to work tomorrow,thank GOD.The job is over in New Hampshire which means alot of driving to and from work but that is okay with me as I can use the hours.I’ll be stripping a deck and restaining it so it will be dirty work so i better remember not to wear any clothes that I don’t want destroyed.I need an excuse to buy some new clothes anyway so I guess it all works out:)

What to do with this blog? I started it a while ago and still have no idea about what to do. I have one recently started about painting and cooking, my two proffesions,and another with just random crap that comes to mind.Hmmm.What will it be?
